Understanding The Purpose Of Tara Matka

Tara Matka is perhaps the only tour operator in India that offers a unique combination of yoga training/corner yoga and beach yoga. The unique matka training method was initiated by a yoga teacher, Gautam Chidambaram, who travelled extensively throughout South America to bring the knowledge of this ancient science to the people of Peru and Bolivia. He reached Brazil in 1998 and remained there for six months teaching tai chi, although Brazilians were not too keen on such a 'foreigner' approach. When he returned to teach math in Peru, it was a slow and difficult process as they did not welcome foreigners. He finally succeeded in Bolivia and Peru in 2021. Recently, a similar program has come to the shores of Kerala in India.

Most of the followers of tapas (traditional Indian meals) in India are so busy earning their livelihoods that they hardly have time to learn the complexities of this ancient system of healthful life support. If they could have access to such a system, they might be able to retain their sanity and lead normal, healthy lives. The development of tapas as a source of income is the primary reason for the widespread spread of the system in the country.

There are three important stages in the development of Tara Matka in India. The first stage is the actual setting up of the school. In India, almost all such schools have a local presence, so there is no need for any outside institutions to take care of the opening rate and other such issues. As a result, almost all existing schools immediately fall within the ambit of the Tara Matka Association.

From this point of view, one can say that the first stage of development of this form of yoga is a success, as there are many students who take up this course. But, the question that follows from this is - what is the next stage? This is actually very difficult to answer, as every successful entity has its own unique way of progressing. Some schools organize retreats on a regular basis or conduct seminars for existing students, or offer online tutorials, or provide any number of such options. All these options help in the overall development of the tara match result, but the fact remains that the school continues to function as a means for imparting knowledge to yoga practitioners.

This is the second stage that can be called the dark period. At this time, one finds that there are many people, including the authorities in the field of yoga, who do not fully understand the importance of this form of yoga. It is here, according to the story, that realization dawns upon the instructors of this form of yoga that the primeval rationale of yoga should be studied in its true spirit. According to this school, the goal of yoga should be to enable everyone to reach the state of 'awakening'. So, it is at this stage, that the real purpose of the institution of matte is fulfilled.

Finally, we come to the third stage, which is the realization of the perfect five alignments on the mats. In this stage, the individual is able to understand the significance of his or her existence and the worth of existence. The evolution of the practitioner occurs at this stage, through the gradual accumulation of small successes. The individual can no longer guess, and the process of gaining experience and perfection leaves behind him a feeling of contentment. Thus, this is the time when the real purpose of Tara Matka becomes visible - it is to achieve perfect self-actualization!
